Admitting Your Challenges

I've posted several blogs now so I'm not exactly sure if I've touched on this topic specifically, but if I have I'm writing on it again because I obviously feel it necessary.

As I've mentioned in previous posts, I'm an observer. And, what I've noticed lately is that there are so many people who are silently suffering because they're afraid to state their challenges. If it's one thing that I've learned over the past few years it's to understand that I can't possibly be great at everything. No one, not even the proven greats, are great at every single thing. It's just not possible.

We all have to arrive to the place of knowing what our grace is to share with the world. I'm not saying you can't be great at more than one thing - so don't misinterpret. You can definitely have more than one talent. However, you can't look at someone else and marvel at their gifts and think that you can do it too because that may not be God's purpose for you. The reason they're prospering is because they're operating in their given ministry.

For example, anyone who knows me, knows that I shampooed on the side all through high school, college, and even now sometimes if I'm needed. I know I'm great at shampooing, however, you will not see me enrolling in cosmetology school because hair is not my ministry, and I am perfectly fine with that.

I honestly believe that people are too focused on convincing others that they're a boss in EVERYTHING instead of actually being one in what they were called to do. No you will not be a hit sensation over night. You have to work to get to that place. Stop giving up if you haven't mastered a certain aspect of your calling. And stop saying that you know it all, when in fact you don't. You never know what opportunities you're missing out on because you're trying to prove a point. It's ok to admit your challenges.

The only way you're going to grow and get to the place where you need to be is to admit where you need help and practice until it becomes second nature. Then you will be able to flow off into your given ministry and prosper like the person(s) you see flowing in theirs.

This week put your focus on what you were called to do. It's like compound interest - where you primarily invest is where you'll see the biggest harvest. Remember, you can't jump from one thing to the next every time you face a challenge.

Stay grounded. I'm rooting for you.

Sending love and positive vibes your way! Yvonne Camille
